Oxygen Ozone Therapy

This method of treatment of the pain caused by a herniated disc is one of the many that are being used today.  Oxygen ozone therapy is a process of injecting a gas mixture into your herniated disc.  This gas mixture is made up of oxygen and ozone. 

The benefit of adding this treatment to your other treatments are that it will help to reduce the inflammation in the herniated disc which in turn helps to lower the amount of pain that is felt by you.  This happens because the size of the herniated disc is made smaller do to the reduction of inflammation in the disc.

This method of treatment is generally used with other treatments, usually with corticosteroid injections.  When that is done, it can help to improve the benefit of that injection substantially.

Another benefit of this treatment is that it can be done as an outpatient procedure.  It does not require that the patient be put under anesthesia either.
